Common questions
Quick answers to the issues we hear most often. Still stuck? Contact us.
Why can't I find gigs on Explore?
Explore shows results for the map area you are viewing. Pan or zoom to a new neighborhood, clear tight filters, or search a specific address. Only published, public gigs appear on the map.
How do I post a gig?
Sign in, open the gig composer, fill in title, category, pay, schedule, and location, then publish. You can post as yourself or switch to a business you manage from the Posting as dropdown.
Why isn't my gig showing on the map?
Drafts and paused listings do not appear on Explore. Confirm the gig is published, set to Public visibility, and has a valid location (or Remote allowed). It can take a short moment after publishing for the map to refresh.
How do I apply or express interest?
Open a gig from Explore or its detail page, read the scope and timing, then use the interest button to send a short note to the poster. Keep communication on-platform until you are comfortable coordinating.
How does verification work?
Verification is optional. Subscribe monthly, complete a one-time Stripe identity check, and your verified badge appears on your profile, eligible gigs, and Explore. Cancel anytime — your badge stays until the billing period ends.
What does the verified badge mean?
A verified badge means the person completed identity verification and has an active verification subscription. It is a trust signal, not a guarantee of work quality — always use your judgment for in-person gigs.
How do I show up on Explore?
Turn on Open to work on your profile, pick categories that match what you offer, and set your open-to-work location. Explore uses those signals to place your individual pin when neighbors browse the map.
How do I post as a business?
Create or join a business profile first, then open the gig composer and choose your business from the Posting as dropdown. Applicants see your company name and verification context on the listing.
How do I edit or close a listing?
Open the gig from your dashboard or the live gig page (if you are the owner). Use owner controls to pause, edit, or close the listing. Closed or archived gigs are removed from Explore.
How do I report a gig or profile?
Use the menu on a gig page (⋯ → Report) or the Report button on profiles and business pages. Pick a reason and optional details — our team reviews every report.
Is my exact location shared publicly?
No. Gigs show a general area on the map, not your precise address. Individual and business pins are also approximate. Exact details are shared only when you choose to coordinate directly.
How do I contact support?
Use the Contact page for questions, bugs, or feedback. Signed-in users can also ask the AI assistant for product help — it will direct you to Contact for issues it cannot resolve.
Still need help?
We read every message and typically respond within one business day.
